Mr Bush says he has worked hard on his relationship with Mr Maliki

The US has been extensively spying on Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki, a new book by renowned US reporter Bob Woodward claims.

A source in the book is quoted as saying "we know everything he says", according to the Washington Post.

The book also says "ground-breaking" covert techniques have helped reduce the violence in Iraq.

This is the fourth book on the Bush administration by Mr Woodward, the Washington Post's associate editor.

The War Within: A Secret White House History, 2006-2008, examines the handling of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and President Bush's leadership and governing style, according to the Post.

Several sources in the book support the claim that Mr Maliki and other Iraqi leaders were being spied on by the US administration.

But Mr Woodward says the tactic was not universally popular in the White House - some senior US officials questioned whether it was worth the risk, given Mr Bush's efforts to develop a close working relationship with Mr Maliki.

Growing rifts

The book also claims that the US "surge" in 2007, in which nearly 30,000 extra troops were sent to Iraq, was not the primary reason for the steep drop in violence seen over the last year.

Mr Woodward says new covert techniques have been used successfully by US military and intelligence officials to find, target and kill insurgents.

He does not go into detail about them, saying the White House asked him to withhold specifics in the interests of national security.

The book quotes from interviews given by Mr Bush himself, and looks at the how the decision-making of the war evolved and the internal clashes it caused.

It reveals a breakdown in the confidence between the president and his military commanders in the region, as well as discord between the state and defence departments.

US officials have not commented on the book, which is due to be published on Monday.

Mr Woodward is well-known for his investigative reporting, and first came to prominence for his role in exposing the Watergate scandal which led to President Richard Nixon's resignation in 1974.

Well.. yesterday i watched a TV soap opera -read sinetron ga jelas, karna ga nonton kepala maupun ujungnya- then there are some dialogues interested me. In da film a husband's having an affair with another woman. When his wife found out, she's very upset and asked for a divorce. The husband refused for he really loves his wife. The wife got more upset cos if he really loves her, then why having an affair? Here comes the dialogues, the husband answered "aku jg ga tau apa aku mencintai dia -the other woman-, yg aku tau dia memberikan yg tidak aku dapatkan dari kamu -his wife-. Bla.. bla.. bla.. -dialog ga penting-.. aku butuh perhatian dan penghargaan -respect- dan kamu ga pernah kasih itu."

Selanjutnya cerita ga penting. The point is.. dari dialog tadi muncul pertanyaan, 'sebenernya apa yg hrs dilakukan ato diberikan dan diterima seseorang utk bisa disebut dicintai dan mencintai?'

So you have to make sure you check them out!  If you haven't noticed that my blog is like no other, then you will soon!  My day has been great so far.  I'm really starting to dig UCA (besides their minor f**k ups). 

 I have been so busy today.  I went to my Theatre Appreciation class, meetings, chilled with some friends, and met some new people.  My sophomore year is 100x better than my freshman year.  My NEW school is better than my old school too!  Much better!  There's more black people here!  I promise there had to be no more than 150 black people at NKU. LMFAO.  It's all love though (not really).  I will miss the parties and clubs, because the hot ass Conway Armory ain't gon' cut it for me every time!  If you go to a party there, I guarantee you will shed five pounds before it ends. 

In Other News: I have a new favorite song (I don't know the name of it though.. LMAO), I thought my mind was made up about something, but it's not ( :-( I'm never the indecisive type), I have a lot of homework, and I want to go to some parties!

And why am I listening to "Da Business" again!?!?!??!?!  Yung Berg has the most annoying voice ever... it matches his hideous face!

Today I feel that the election is one of the most important that I have seen.I see people beleiving their own rhetorit as the time grows nearer.We have a couintry looking to Hollywood and the media to control our thinking. It is always laughable to me how the Presidant and officials are able to speak our native language,English, and than for media to spend hours telling us what they mean. I think the voters of our country are able to decide for themselves and not be seen as not intelligent as the media believes we are.

This week has been the most exciting week to be able to have a candidate we can root for. An all American woman we have hoped for in a long time. Every woman has had their share of heartache in their family, in their workplace, in the process of seeking a career as well as their joy and happiness in each others accomplishments. So I say "HOORAY fo SARAH" and pray that she is able to carry out her ideals to our country.
